Introducing the new Broken Top Members Club! Broken Top Club accomplished a very significant milestone in 2007 when, for the first time in the club’s history, the members gained full ownership and control of their club. The club is definitely breaking new ground as Central Oregon’s most distinguished private golf and activities club.
And it's always nice to be first. When Broken Top opened in 1993, it was the first gated community in Central Oregon to offer a name-brand golf experience. In this case, the brand was the design team of Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish. Weiskopf was the 1973 British Open Champion, four-time runner-up at The Masters and winner of 26 PGA tour events. When it comes to course architecture, he is a traditionalist who puts considerable emphasis on playability and balance in his layouts.
Broken Top earned immediate accolades as one of the best new private courses in the country. In this magnificent location of spectacular mountain views and towering pines is a course woven in a natural setting. It set a new standard for Central Oregon. Some of Weiskopf’s other award-winning projects include Troon North in Scottsdale, Loch Lomond in Scotland and Castle Pines in Colorado.
