| A golf destination since 1964, Salishan Spa & Golf Resort has undergone some changes over the years but nothing like the major renovation that occurred in 2003. Salishan is a unique course for the Oregon coast as it takes advantage of some huge elevation changes and towering pines to put a premium on shot selection and accuracy. After enjoying almost 40 years of play, Peter Jacobsen’s design firm was hired in 2003 to completely update the course. Every green and bunker on the course was redesigned to USGA specifications, and once again, this Oregon coast favorite was given a new look that perfectly fit the land and an amazingly challenging layout.
